5 months old!

Yesterday, Willa turned 5 months old! She already has a tiny bit of her first tooth coming in. It is SO sharp! But luckily, the teething process isn't too bad thus far. And she is growing some cute fuzz on her head these days. She is also able to sit up on her own for about a minute before she leans too far to one side or decides to push off and go forward. And just today, I have noticed that when I put her down on her tummy, she stays up in the crawling position for a second or two before resuming her typical tummy on the ground position with arms and legs in the air like a HALO jumper. She is such a sweet baby and has a silly personality. It is so fun for us to see how many people she makes happy and laugh at her funny faces and noises. We love you, Willa! You are such a blessing to your mommy and daddy.

Eatin' my sign! It made such great noises!
Gimme me that camera!

What was left of the sign...

I'm outta here...
(don't worry, my mom was right there to catch her if she was near rolling off the couch)

This started out as a cute one, but quickly turned into Willa needing to chew her blankie.

Go Cowboys!
One of my favorites!
With Aunt Lucia and Marcello...it was close to bedtime, so smiling was out of the question.

A quick *sniff* comparison...

Kyle's Graduation

On August 19, 2009, I took Willa on her first airplane ride. We flew from Dallas to Charlotte, then Charlotte to Fayetteville to see Daddy's graduation! Willa did so well. She loved looking at all the people on the plane and slept the entire flight (through take off and landing) of our short flight to Fayetteville. When we arrived, Willa gave Daddy HUGE smiles! It melted her mommy's heart. We saw Daddy's graduation and are so proud of him! Here are some pics from our trip! More to come once I get some from Grams and Sharon...Mommy was busy with Willa and didn't get as many pics as she would have liked...

Cowboys Dress

Yesterday, I spent the day re-learning how to sew and making my first dress for Willa. I hope to get better and better so that I can make her cute things as she gets older. I decided to make Willa a Cowboys dress for my first attempt since pre-season is in a week or so and she needs something to match the Cowboys socks and pacifier Grandpa Fred got her before she was born. It will also be her official football gear while watching games with Daddy- at least until she grows out of it! All in all, I think I did a pretty good job. Luckily, we have a very active baby who will mask any imperfections with wiggles!

New Highchair!

A few days ago, I bought Willa a highchair. Until then, she had been eating in her bouncer, as we were still in our trial period to see how she would like food. Well, she LOVES it, especially her sweet potatoes, so it was time for the highchair! Here are a few pics of her first meal in it!

Quick drink after my sweet potatoes, before my applesauce....
All done and covered in it!
