Living Life
For over 2 years since my last post, life has taken our family in many directions. God has a plan and as of now, I finally feel somewhat settled for a bit. We had another baby, Henry Lawson, on December 24, 2012, sold our house in Elgin, lived with Grandma in Plano, lived in an apartment in Plano, moved back to the Austin area (Round Rock), then Boerne. We have Willa in an amazing Classical and Christian School for Kindergarten (!!!!), Meredith is almost 4 and thriving in Preschool, and Henry will be 2 in December. I baffles me that I have three kids, all in school or preschool. I now work part time, sub at preschool, teach Sunday School, and sub in the church nursery. Kyle is still working for the Army. Maybe we'll have another baby...maybe not....it's all in Gods hands and we are thankful that it is. The holidays are crazy, so many performances, road trips, gifts to buy, and relatives to host. So much love. So much stress. So blessed. I have no idea who reads this. It may just be a fun thing for us to look at as the years go by. And if so, its purpose will have been served. "One is none and two is ten"
This saying really is true. Obviously, since I haven't been on our blog since I posted Willa's 2nd birthday. We have been a very busy family. We had wedding showers and parties and a wedding this Spring, then went to Fort Bragg for a little over two months to be with Kyle while he went through a course.
We did a lot while we were there......
Willa learned to swim on her own with a swim vest on.
We took an amazing trip to Washington, D.C. (I could so an entire post on this).
We celebrated the 4th of July at Fort Bragg.
We went to the beach.
Now we are back and settling into a new routine.
Willa started Sunday School August 21 and loves it! Meredith is doing well in the nursery- she sleeps the entire time. Here is Willa on her first day saying, "Jesus!"
Both girls really are growing like weeds. Meredith is a healthy, hefty little girl at 7 1/2 months weighing about 20 pounds and 26 inches long- bigger than Willa was at this age. She is crawling all over the place and has a lot to say, "baba, mama, dada" but all still just noises. She is very strong, a great eater, very happy and smiles all the time. She is loud (piercing), however, when not happy. And she has a tooth, her first tooth, that has been trying to come in since she was 4 months old. It's getting closer, but is driving her, and us, a little nuts.

Willa is in a big girl bed full time as of May 2 and almost potty trained! She has a potty chart and gets a sticker every time she sits on the potty and a marshmallow every time she goes. She gets a lot of marshmallows!!! We still have to remind her, but she has asked us to put her on there about 4 times which is a great start! She has a lot of new phrases: "I do it with myself/my big self", "It's my turn", No, woman", "Is that what it says?". She has memorized a handful of songs she looooves to sing while running around the house. She is still curious as ever and absorbs it all. Willa also LOVES being a big sister and gives Meredith kisses and hugs, teaches her how to play with her toys, reads to her, feeds her, and entertains her in the car.
And today, Willa started school! We put her in a Mother's Day Out program 2 days a week. She LOVES it. She loves her teachers, Miss Kathy and Miss Olga. She gets dropped off and picked up on the playground, they do art, music, Bible, science experiments, play time, and snacks. We dropped her off today and there were no tears from Willa, but Mommy had a few leaving the parking lot. Miss Kathy told me she did well all day, ate all of her lunch, uses her words very well (apparently there are a few "pushers" in her class), and was the loudest, most clear singer in the room :) I was so proud to hear such a great report on her first day! When we left, which she was hesitant to do, she said, "Mom, where are all my guys?". I told her they were going home, too, then realized she in a class of 6 boys and 3 girls....oh Lord we are already in trouble. But at least she's the boss of the boys it sounds like!

Willa is 2!
Today, our first born turned 2! It was a little bittersweet for Mommy, but I am so proud to be her Mom and couldn't ask for a better toddler. This morning, I got up at 3:51 AM (4:51 AM in NC where she was born) and took her picture...
Then today, my mom and I took Willa to Zilker Botanical Gardens. She loved the flowers, rocks, leaves, and water, and had a great morning walking all over the place and talking about what she saw and heard!
This evening, Mommy and Daddy took Willa out for a special birthday dinner, just the three of us, at Red Robin. She loves the grilled cheese and fries there. She also loves cupcakes....
...and balloons!
One of the funniest parts of the night was when the servers sang to her. She didn't know what to think and seemed a little concerned, switching from smiles to frowns during the entire 30 seconds it took for them to sing to her. I laughed so hard- I cried!

Meredith Greer is here!
Meredith Greer York arrived January 14, 2011, at 11:07 am. 8 lbs. 2 oz. 19 inches.
I woke up at 3:16 am that morning with STRONG contractions every 5 minutes after random ones the night before for a few hours. So I woke Kyle up about 3:30 and told him to go put gas in the car so we could go. The funny thing is that Kyle was set up get up at 4am to go to drill that day...didn't happen! But we got up, grabbed the bag, Kyle made coffee, and I made sure the grocery list made sense for my mom to go to the store that day with Willa. We drove to the hospital and made it to a room by about 5 am. I got an epidural at 8 am, felt pressure at 10:30 (I went from 5 to 10 in about 30 minutes), and pushed until our second miracle was born!
We are still adjusting to having two under 2, but so far Willa is the best big sister and so sweet with Meredith. Sleeping isn't too bad as long as Mere stays fed and dry throughout the night. I promise to put more pictures up soon, but wanted to at least get her birth on here since it is February and exactly one month overdue :)

We took Willa to the 4 pm Children's Service at church. We only lasted about 30 minutes, however, because Willa decided to tell everyone "No sing", then tinkle all over Mommy.Our tree

Then she put her chocolate Goldfish in the bottom of an almost empty water glass and ate them...mmmmm....
Grammie and Grandpa brought presents on their way to Houston for New Year's!
Once the presents were gone, she started walking around with a finger up saying "One more", but wasn't successful. Poor kid!
It was a great holiday and thank you to everyone for our beautiful gifts! Happy birthday, Jesus!
