Willa and I have taken it upon ourselves to explore more of our new town this weekend. Today we went to Memorial Park. They have a great playground, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, a pavilion, a creek, and trails. Willa had a blast! She, of course, wanted to eat the pebbles on the playground- a HUGE no no! But she also went down the slide by herself and did a little swinging! Then I took her to the grassy areas and just let her loose. She had a great time! She found a big rock and carried it around for a while, then put it in her mouth, decided dirt was gross, and threw it about 4 feet in front of her. Then she found a long stick. It made Mommy nervous, since her daddy had an incident as a kid with a stick and his eye, but she was fine. She pretty much stood there, waved it around, then threw it, too! It was a fun morning and exciting to find a fun place to go in our own town! Then we drove around a little bit and found Willa's Elementary and High schools. It made Mommy happy to see they were very new, very nice buildings. We also have an enormous football stadium- but it is small town Texas! Maybe this afternoon we'll explore some more and look for the Middle School :) Enjoy the pictures!
Downhill makes me go fast!

So excited to be running free!

Trying to make it uphill...
